Hack Better is designed to keep your data on your devices. We do not require an account, operate a server, or collect personal information.

Data and Location

Golf rounds, shots, scores, club selections, and other app data are stored locally on your iPhone and Apple Watch. Location data is used locally to calculate distances and mark green locations. This information is not transmitted to us. You may choose to export or back up your data using the iOS Share Sheet. Those files are sent only to the destination you select.

Range Lab

If you choose to send Range Lab data to us, the App creates a JSON file containing AutoShot detection movement parameters and Apple Watch movement data and sends it directly to our email. We use this data only to evaluate and improve AutoShot performance. Range Lab data is not sent unless you explicitly choose to send it. There is nothing personal in this data - its watch movement, club type, club hand, watch wrist, and time stamps. We’ll use the data to improve the overall autoshot detection model.

Analytics

Hack Better does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Apple may provide us with aggregated App Store analytics and diagnostics according to Apple's own privacy and sharing settings.

Data Deletion

Because we do not operate a server or maintain user accounts, we do not maintain a database of your App data. Data stored on your devices can be deleted by deleting the App or its data. If you send us Range Lab data, you may request its deletion by contacting us. We will delete the submitted data after analysis regardless.
